Antique Electric Truck
Laher Electric 3 wheel "truck" - $180
- 50's vintage, with 36 volt series wound motor. Very retro looking.
- It is in need of total overhaul, a "frame up restoration" due to rust,
and some welding advisable to correct some ill advised "modifications".
- But will make a nice little NEV...or get about...capable of some towing
and hauling, or grocery getting. could also be made into buggy seating
for 4 in back.
- It is all steel construction, mechanical brakes on the rear only.
- Had resistance controller... it whimpers for a rebuilt Curtiss.
- No Batteries
- Rear wheels and tires are new... steering box is frozen.
- Easily transported on a very small rental trailer..I used one meant
for rotor tillers and such from The Rental Place in Sebastopol,
or would fit into bed of large pickup.
- Obviously, with new deep cycle batts and an inverter.. this will also
make a grand stand-by emergency power unit... if your electricity goes
off in the winter, like ours does.
- Got wind power ? Then you can charge and ride for nothing.
- $180 obo to a good home. (motor should be fine with some new bearings
from Moody's Motor Shop in Santa Rosa). Or $ 70 without the motor.
- Pick up in Occidental... I will help you load. Most any day.
