NBEAA PRESENTATION AT SCIENCE BUZZ CAFE ON THURSDAY --------------------------------------------------- Alan Soule and Chris Jones will share their Tesla Roadster and Mustang EV conversion respectively and discuss the science of EVs at the Science Buzz Cafe meeting this Thursday, 7 PM at the French Garden Restaurant in Sebastopol. Note: the restaurant website at http://www.frenchgardenrestaurant.com/calendar/calendar.html still has us down for August which is incorrect, and the Science Buzz Cafe website http://www.sciencebuzzcafe.org appears to be broken and/or out of date. He will share with us his challenges to get the right information and the right components for his car, and discuss his effort to get EV charging available at his school. Then the car will be shown and rides will be given. There will be some charging avaiable -- contact Chris per above if you are interested in charging your EV there. AUGUST NBEAA MEETING -------------------- Saturday August 28, 2010 10 AM to noon American Lung Association 115 Talbot Avenue Santa Rosa Come see two freeway capable electric motorcycles -- Brian Phillips' 2008 Vectrix VX-1 and Steve Bush's Zero S. A comparison of key electric motorcycle features will be presented, then Brian and Steve will share their basis for making their decisions and details about how to purchase, get rebates, license and insure and charge their bikes. Then the bikes will be shown and they will give helmeted rides around the parking lot -- one large helmet will be available for passengers -- followed by spectators watching them drive their bikes on the street.
