The following is a list of events related to EVs (clean air, energy, environment, etc.). All NBEAA members and affiliates to the NBEAA will have the opportunity to show EVs at the event. Anyone able to show their EV please contact Dr. Nick Carter, NBEAA chapter president, for arrangements.
May 13, 2006 @ Jones’ Family Home
The May meeting of the NBEAA will take place in Santa Rosa at the home of the Jones family home on May 13th from 10am to 12 noon. Chris Jones, who is currently working on a Mustang EV conversion (ePony) will be moderating a discussion regarding the future of NBEAA, to include members' hopes, interests and needs and also the division of labor between chapter officers. Plus Chris might just give us a brief update on his conversion project! Participants are welcome to stay on for a pot luck after the meeting. Please note that we are once again back to our regular second Saturday of the month, 10am-12noon, slot. There will also be an opportunity for EV show'n'tell and possible participation as "pace car" at the local American Lung Association's Bike for Breath sponsored bike ride at the old Agilent site in Rohnert Park on May 27th. There will be 10mi, 35mi and 65mi routes for bikers and, as we initiated last year, an EV will hopefully lead off the 10mi route which is scheduled to start with a loop of the former Agilent site on the perimeter road. The 65 mi riders depart first at ~7am and the last group (10 mi) leave at ~10am. If we could have EVs there between 9 and 9:30 am and/or for the lunch-time show'n'tell session (11:30/12noon until ~2:30pm) that would be great. It's certainly a receptive audience!
