NBEAA Positions

The table below gives a description of the chapter offices/positions and officeholder status. If you would like to volunteer, please contact the chapter secretary, Don McGrath at:  donmcgrath@eaaev.org.

President:

  • Elected volunteer position.
  • Set the tone and direction for the chapter. Know what the chapter membership is interested in in deciding the direction of the chapter.
  • Be the motivator to get things done.
  • Be the chapter's representative to the national EAA.
  • Be the chapter's representative to the local electric vehicle and related-interest communities.

Program Director:

  • Elected volunteer position.
  • Arrange meetings and events. Arrange for speakers on various topics. Arrange workshops on subjects of interest.
  • Work with the chapter president to ensure that meeting/event threads follow the chapter's direction.

Secretary:

  • Elected volunteer position.
  • Send meeting (and other) announcements via email and hardcopy to chapter mailing list.
  • Maintain chapter membership list.

Treasurer:

  • Elected volunteer position.
  • Balance checking account using bank statements.
  • Interface with bank, handling any issues.
  • Issue checks as needed by chapter.
  • Send yearly accounting report to national EAA treasurer.

Librarian:

  • Appointed volunteer position.
  • Maintain chapter library, adding new relevant material and weeding out old, irrelevant stuff.
  • Maintain list of library materials on library website.
  • Check out materials to chapter membership.

Webmaster:

  • Appointed volunteer position.
  • Post meeting announcements to website and to EVDL.
  • Post "record" of past meetings to website's pastmeetings page. A "record" can consist of just a short description, or can include pictures/video and extensive descriptions.
  • Other work, such as posting to the futuremeetings and sale pages.
  • General website maintenance.
  • Take the website to the “next” level, perhaps by adding drop-down menus and flash start page; ie. improve the website.
  • Interface with website hosts.
